I am from Bangladesh. Look, may be it seems rude to you, but I'm not sure, whether he really loves you or not. If he really loves you, i think he is now scared. May be he has told his family about you, and his family warned him about you. Actually, it's kind of complex to make you understand why his family will get angry. I think you can have an open conversion with him, and try to make things clear with him.
