What is one thing you might do to encourage seeds to germinate?

we did experiment for this with all the points you have mentioned above other then boiling, as far as am concerned we found out that the seeds can germenate if you put them in the frezzer or dark remeber for seeds to germinate they dont need light oxygen or soil to germnate. we used cooton for all the seeds rather than using soil and it worked pefect i have the results if you have any questions feel free to ask.
