In love with my best friend...?

I have known my best friend for about a year now and recently I have been having really strong feelings for him, you see I don't know whether its a good idea to tell him because I don't want to spoil our friendship, yet he knows everything that happens in my life, sometimes I actually fell he fells the same. what should I do, I am really confused :S
