Hard to tell without going in deep into your normal routine with her, but it sounds to me that she does like you. Most cases when a girl is interested in some guy, she starts asking her male friend about guys ways of thinking. Now this usually includes hugs but holding hands and sitting in laps is somewhat different. It shows a bit deeper affection. The one way you can inspect this is just by asking her is there a guy she likes and who? If she answers you the name of a guy that isn't you the case is clear. If she starts avoiding it then you may be on to something there. That part I can't advise :) One good thing though. Friend or no friend restrain yourself from always being the guinea pig for her love enquiries. It will get really old really fast, plus you will find yourself talking only about her guys all the time, which leaves no room for you in a conversation. Just be breaf in those situation, don't lie but keep a healthy distance from those subjects, talk about things that are interesting to bouth of you because talking about something which interests only one party is a monolog in most cases.
