Crosswords cryptic clues easy clues, same answers, do you go for easy or cryptic? be honest now ?

Sometimes I like a mental challenge, but it helps if it's a topic I know something about. Even if it's an easy question, like about a popular tv show, if I know nothing about it then what good is it to me even if it is an "easy" question? After all, on an individual basis, an easy question is one you know the answer to without having to think (much). Cryptic or even psychologically or philosophically deep questions can be fun :o).
