Which guitar is better?

It would be hard for anyone to say unless they had actually played these exact two guitars. I'm guessing they would both be very close in quality. These are both pretty popular guitars so if you have a Guitar Center, Sam Ash or other larger store in the area they may have both of these in stock for comparison. Even if you do not know how to play yet, you can tell a lot by just holding a guitar. Also the guys at the shop would be glad to demo both side by side through the same amp so you can hear the tonal difference. As far as tuning, no guitar in this price range that has a tremolo is going to stay in tune as well as a hard tail model. I try to avoid tremolo models unless I'm in the $1000 and up range and some of those aren't really that great for staying in tune if you really use the tremolo.
