Is Lord Voldemort hypocritical?

Ok, not is he, more like he is. He's all about pure-blood supremacy when in fact he is not a pure-blood himself. And his death-eaters: presumably they were all pure-bloods, did they know their leader wasn't as pure as he set himself to be? or were they completely oblivious?
